20000mAh Solar-Powered Power Bank groupon review

20000mAh Solar-Powered Power Bank groupon review

The Groupon site would not let me review the product, so I had to create my own page to do so. It's actually unusual they have not allowed any reviews for it?!?

So, first of all the product arrives with no packaging, no instructions, no warranty card, no invoice and a very tiny usb to mini usb cord.
10 cm long cord. What is with that? It's almost useless.

Well, it's still a good deal. I think about $10 cheaper than elsewhere, so still worth it I guess.

The solar panel:
Well, with no instructions I decided to hold it up towards the sun and the green LED came on, so I am guessing it is working?

All four LEDs come on when I plug it in to recharge, although with the last one flashing.
At this stage I am going to guess this means almost fully charged.

So, should you buy it?
It's a gamble. Groupon is usually ok. Sure, why not. It's not too expensive.
Still, after I contacted their customer support via "chat" they were totally unsure about the product and its packaging, saying instead that maybe the packing was damaged in transit and that's why it is not present with the product.
Yeah, ok, ummm, huh?
I have a feeling it was an Indian in India answering the questions I put to him/her. I think his/her name was Veredesh, so fair chance.

I asked about the warranty, and they said it is 6 months. The invoice is digital. But the packaging and instructions are not to be seen. Likely the instructions can be found online.

Enjoy!

Cheap writing competition

Easy to win as well.
Basically you write and edit, then submit.
Sounds easy, right?
But it also has to be an interesting story with a full story arc, compelling characters and good flow. With short stories you need to also begin close to the action scene and ending. This is because you have very little space to write your story. In this case it is 2,500 words.
Lucky this one only costs $5 and not many people enter, making it very easy for you to win. Also, you will be entered into the 2018 anthology :)

World Writers Collective and Editing Help

Welcome to our writing source (in case you have not already been welcomed).
The information within these short posts is designed to help you stay informed about writing, editing, and publishing. As well as allow you to get help from other writers.

We have our Facebook Page, which I encourage you to join so that you and other writers can communicate with each other regarding the mechanics of writing, as well talk about editing, plot, characters, etc.
This group is not just for Melbourne, but for everyone around the world. So it is a good source of information.
Join and begin posting up information to share with others. The only way we can gain knowledge is if everyone helps!

We also have a website which has had a few new offers added. Such as professional editing. Take a look and get in contact if this interests you. There are samples available if you need them.
Explore the rest of the website as well and inform other writers about its existence (getting ourselves out there as writers can succeed as a joint effort).

There is also our dropbox if you would like to have your work edited for free by other writers.
You can view the dropbox via the link and read the READ ME file to find out more.
This is especially helpful if you are entering a writing competition and actually want to win.

Which brings me to our last offer, a writing competition :)
Only $5 to enter, so won't break the bank.
If you join the World Writers Collective website, then it is $15 for the year, and you get a free entry into each writing competition. So consider that if you like.
We also have our top five winners listed on the website from the previous competition. Why not have a read of their stories.

Now all you need to do is have a great week!

P.S. If you live (or are visiting) in and around Melbourne, you can come to our group and meet other writers and chat. All are welcome: https://www.meetup.com/Melbourne-Writers
