Why create a short film?
The idea began first as an idea to write a story and then allow people to watch it as it is written. Therefore giving people the chance to see how a written piece takes place, warts and all. There were many errors and changes! So many edits to make it the story it is today.
I also asked people online to throw some objects and scenarios at me, which I would then have to include. Here they are:
Geoff Stuart: A pair of sunglasses
Grant McDonald: safety matches!
Lore Burns: A coconut, but not just any coconut. It has a small crack running through its skin, it has a burning ambition to be a ballet dancer and its name is Colin. You asked for it
Cynthia: Soon Parma
Narelle Campion: Sunset at a train station with a letter in your hand
I included everything although with one or two slight alterations. Have a listen and see if you can spot each one ;)
Watch it being written here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxmu_ooyrpw
Completed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W75zUM1qTu0
The abstract short film that was created for it here: http://youtu.be/4WRCPyUPTjo
