Roadside - a thriller story

Have you ever read Stephen King on Writing?
Maybe this story will make you think about that one time he went for a walk along the side of the road and had an unfortunate accident.

Writing is a waste of time?

Writing is a waste of time?

It’s always a work in progress due to the effort luck and persistence involved with getting your work out there to the masses, if that is your intention.

Writing is all about enjoyment.

Getting published by a traditional publisher is about hard work. It will take up most of your time for many years and succeeding is not assured. That’s where persistence and luck comes into it.

It’s not a waste of time if you enjoyed writing it. And it’s not a waste of time time with anything you put effort into to achieve a goal.

Self publishing sucks nuts.

Self publishing sucks nuts.
Although I think smashwords is better and easier and cheaper. Amazon is very restricting and they take a big chunk of your earnings.
I recently published an anthology from a group of us writers. It’s now on smashwords which also sends it automatically to multiple other platforms. I’ve been publishing on smashwords and amazon since 2011 and a few years ago decided not to use amazon anymore.
Don’t expect to make much money from self publishing, regardless of which platform you go with. Most people are lucky to make $500 a year.
